Through our work with People for Missions, our parent organization, we were confronted by the urgent needs of the world’s orphans. From the mountains of Central America to the villages of India, we encountered children living in desperate conditions, and a mission was born—one that carried a high calling and deep purpose. Guided by our Christian faith, we knew that short-term relief was not enough; our goal was long-term restoration. We envisioned rescuing these children, bringing them into the loving embrace of a family, and helping them discover their God-given potential and fulfill the destinies He has for them. As People for Missions expanded, so did Houses of Hope, driven by this unwavering mission.
Our first location, Casa de Esperanza, was established in 1992 in Zacapa, Guatemala. What began as a single home on 28 acres of land has since grown into a thriving community, including six homes, a school, a vocational training center, a medical clinic, and a community center. Over the years, Houses of Hope has expanded to nearly 40 locations across 12 countries on five continents, providing children who have been orphaned or abandoned with a safe, loving, and supportive environment.
For over 30 years, we have built a team of committed individuals who share the vision of transforming the lives of these children through the love of Christ. Our mission is to rescue one child at a time, empowering them to become the leaders who will change their communities, nations, and the world. With the support of partners like you, we will continue to fulfill this calling, bringing hope, healing, and transformation to children in need, for the glory of God.
